Log in to Purple Mash and open your PE Kit spreadsheet from last lesson. If you were working with a partner, make sure the same person logs in again this time.
Now that we have our sum cell or formula working to show the sum of the PE Kit list, we can make changes and the total will update automatically. Magic!
Try some different prices for the equipment and see how the total changes.
Make sure to try a simple change and predict the outcome beforehand. It is always important to check our work, even when the computing is doing most of the hard parts.
Did you notice, in the screen video, that the format of the cell was changed to show pounds and pence? Make sure to try that yourself, too. Now that we are looking at more realistic prices, it is even more obvious how the spreadsheet is helping us with our calculations.
